Desert Road

Last week me and a colleague together went to make U turn at Oman just to extend our visit visa in UAE, my working visa still in process so I have to renew my visit visa before it expired. Anyway, I already confirmed to work permanent in Dubai for the project, I really got mixed feeling on it right now, I still not sure when I can come back to settle my personal matters.

Let's just forget about my story, here I just wanted to share with you all some nice scene in this desert land during my journey from Dubai to Oman.

Seems like everyone observed my hair colour changed in my previous post, actually this is my original hair colour, before this I dyed into brown black colour, I got plenty of grey/white hair. Now I don't have time to dye my hair so I just leave it as original colour after I cut my hair.

In middle east, camel is the most precious animal in the desert land. I can see it almost everyday because next to my working project site is Dubai Camel Racing Course.

I still haven't see how fast is camel can run, I'll try to see it if got time. Here are some pictures I took about camels, I no need to go Zoo Negara to see camels... kekeke.

Camels only can be seen at certain areas, not everywhere in Dubai because too much development is on going now. I was wearing the Camel's brand cargo pant, luckily the camels didn't kick me out of there.... Wakakaka.

Kenny Ng Can Cook!!!

Since I stay in Dubai for work, I've learned so many things to be a survivor here. All the while I just watch my mum and others how they cook but I never did it myself.

Yesterday (Friday) after half day work, I tried to cook a simple dish to share with my colleagues, the others cooked some other dishes too. Surprisingly, everyone said the taste is excellent and the dish I contributed finish in just few minutes time. I was so proud of myself... :P

Its a mixture of bake beans, potato, carrot, sausage, onion and tomato. I started with fried the potato then put in sausage. After that onion and carrot put together to cook with potato, finally the bake beans and tomato to mix in for the final stage, I also add some chili sauce and salt for better taste. I forgot to add some eggs into it, anyway... it taste good! (so thick skin, self-praise pula... Wakakakaka)

Short Lunch Break at Dragon Mart

Last week during lunch hour, my colleague brought us to a Chinese restaurant in Dragon Mart at International City, Dubai.

I just ordered a dry fried noodle which cost me Dhs 22 (RM 22++), the taste was ok compare to last time I had in Chinese Village Restaurant. Anyway, in Dubai all the portion of foods are very big, to me I can split out into 2 meals for that big portion.

The restaurant we went in Dragon Mart is SunTour Restaurant, too bad this restaurant only sell 'Halal' foods.

I couldn't manage to snap pictures outside the mall to show how it looks like, we were so rushing and I just managed to snap some pictures inside the main entrance.

The mall length is about 1km long, I still got no time to walk the whole mall to see what interesting in this mall.

Part 1 - You Ask Me Why I Blog?

I'm Kenny Ng, a self-declared die-hard-rocker but never look like a rocker, the rocker only rock in his heart. I started blogging since end of June 2006. When I started to blog I really no idea what is blog, what to blog. Slowly I've learned a lot from other blogs. Then I named my blog as 'Let's Crap... Let's Rock!!!'. I've made many friends through blogsphere and also involved in bloggers gathering 'Together-gather Bloggers Party' in March 2007. From that moment, I never think to stop blogging.


Part 2 - 2007 Formula One World Champion

Yes!!! Finally... My current Formula One hero, Kimi Raikkonen has won his first world champion title for the season of 2007. I didn't watched the race because no live coverage in Dubai, so sad... I can't even watch the final race of the season.

I really can't believe it, finally the luck is on his side. He was almost to be a world champion few years back for few times due to the car's reliability issues that time. This year he only leads 1 point ahead from Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso who both sharing the same points.

I know most of you will not agree with me he is the best, but to me he is a real champion with his fighting spirits, he never give up and just try his best, finally he earns what he deserved.

It's one of pile caps to be constructed, the formworks are using blocks as permanent formwork, unlike formworks we used to see in Malaysia, only plywood as temporary formwork. You can see the blockwork done very well with proper support of stiffeners and capping beams.

Moving and Away...

Alright, tomorrow (UAE time) or today (Malaysia time), I'll moving from Abu Dhabi to Dubai for our new accommodation, so we no need to travel so far to work everyday anymore.

For your information, our new site office still got no internet service, our new house too got no internet service.

I'll not able to update or read your all blogs until I got the internet service here. No internet really like no life to me, sigh...

Hiatus...

New Dubai Skyline

This will be another interesting and tourist attraction spot in Dubai, The New Dubai Skyline is the most busiest places in Dubai especially during after working hour. The traffic jam can be worst than traffic situation in Kuala Lumpur.

The best part of this area is all the buildings are well planned along the main road, it looks like high rise terrace building along the Sheik Zayed Road.

All the pictures were taken in the car while my colleague was driving, the quality may be not as good as expected.

I'm Married...

Yes, I'm serious here, I'm telling the truth here, I think you all must be surprised with this announcement.

I think all of you must be very happy for me that I finally get married. My mum knew about it as I already discussed with her, I just want to give my parents have a nice and comfort life, so I decided to make this decision, I don't want to miss this golden chance in my life.

Now I everyday face with her, but it's quite tough to handle her sometimes. Anyway, I can't live without her, I really need her badly. I don't know am I really love her, but I have to force myself to love her madly, truly and deeply. I decided to take care of her all the time from now.

How come I don't have a girlfriend and suddenly I'm getting married? Well, I already think about it for long time, since no body want me, and only she is waiting for me, so I have to take this opportunity.

MY WORK!!!

Sicko Me

Sorry for lack of update these few days, I'm still sick and not feeling well. I think my sick due to weather changing here which the wind blow now days getting cooler but the sunlight still very hot.

Now I'm having bad flu, sore throat, fever and some minor illness, but I still have to work everyday as usual. To me everytime I got MC I still went to work unless I really can't get up from my bed. It's been a long long time I never fall bad sick like now.

Two days ago I had nose bleeding and today again, hell, I never had this problem for past 20 years and now it comes back. My colleagues joke with me that my pressure pumped up to my head already, so I need some pleasure to release it, I told them I did TFK as usual. They thought I really need 'sex' to release it, I was thinking, does 'sex' can cure all sickness?

No worry, I'm still in one piece, I just need some rest and more rock music dose into my soul... I'll back for more updates once I'm recover. Rock On!!!

More than 10 years ago when I first time stepped into a construction site for my industrial training in Penang, I was so blur blur about construction equipment term used in the construction sites. Every terms I used were based on books or the actual name, but it doesn't work for me.

One day, I was supervising concrete casting on a site, then I saw the workers just pour the concrete into foundation without using vibrator to compact the concrete, so I called those workers... Oik! Mana vibrator?! (Where is the vibrator?!), then all the workers looked at me with a weird look and never bother what I was asking about.

I was so pissed off and went to told the manager, then the manager came to me and brought me to the location again to see what happened. He then tapped on my shoulder and told me... young man, listen carefully and learn from me ok? Then he shouted... Oik! Mana lanjiao?! (Where is the dick?!), the workers quickly grab the vibrator and poke into concrete to compact it nicely.
