50+1 Malaysia

I've been honored by QuaChee, the editor of 50+1 Malaysia book by taking some of my Kek Lok Si photos in the book. The book is small but very comprehensive with introducing about places, foods, people & love of Malaysia.

In conjunction of our 51th Merdeka Day (National Day), I felt so pleased that I did contributed a little bit in the book which introduce about Malaysia to the world.

This is my 2nd year that I did not celebrate the National Day in my home country, anyway... I really miss Malaysia which is really a nice country to stay with nice and beautiful people around, delicious foods and multi cultural celebrations.

Back to War Zone

I'm back to my war zone safe and sound now... This time I don't feel any special feeling to come back here, I just felt want to back to work as usual, maybe I'm get used to the working life here, I don't feel any strange feeling when I come back here anymore.

Now I just miss my family, relatives and friends in Malaysia, life goes on, work is work, I have to carry on what I've been through. Many thanks to all that I met up during my holiday trip, it was really fun and unforgettable moment for me.

I'm so tired now after so many hours in flight from Penang to Kuala Lumpur then Kuala Lumpur to Karachi then to Dubai. I just finished up unpack my things and now is my time to have a good rest to continue my work on Saturday.

I'm looking forward for my next trip home, hopefully can come back during Chinese New Year, by then see you all again.

My Holiday Trip

Time really flies, in 2 days time I'm going fly back to my battle field in Dubai again. This holiday trip back Malaysia was so wonderful to me, met up with many of my old buddies in Penang and Kuala Lumpur.

The day I touched down to Penang, my parents and relatives came to Penang International Airport picked me up, the first thing we did were eat hawker foods! Without any hesitation, I ordered Char Koay Teow, it was my first dish when I stepped down in Penang.

In Penang, I managed to snap some scenes along the journey...

During my trip in Kuala Lumpur, it was my most busiest moment for my holiday, I met up with my ex-colleagues, then my current colleagues, friends, and also blogger friends.

Finally I met up with Purple~Mushroom (Aigie), My Memory Land (Deisy), & Eileen, at the same time I also met up a new friend Eric Chua a nice person to chit chat with.

It was a nice meeting, we were having a good laugh till the Secret Recipe close shop we only left the place.

The next evening met up with my bloggers buddies... Wingz, Dale, CK Yeoh, Golfnick & Wei Hann. We were chit chat till 3am morning, that night I was having a difficulty to get a hotel room, all hotels in KL & PJ were fully booked!!! Luckily Wingz taikor offered me to overnight in his place. I really appreciated with his help, without his help I may sleep at road side on that night.

That is what we called friends for, when got difficulty they will stood up and help me. Wingz taikor, I owe you a lot! For the rest of the gang, thank you for helping me to find out all hotels on that night, I was so desperate to find a place to stay, and I'm so sorry for screwed up the first few hours just for looking for hotels.

On Saturday night, I managed to met up my long long old best buddies in Backyard Pub which used to be my hanged out place for live bands. The place has been renovated and the bands also changed a lot. Anyway, we were having a good time there.

My best old buddy-rocker... Ananth

Ananth... your baby boy is sooooooooooooo cute! I'm so happy to see him. Remember to guide him to be our next generation of rocker yah! Haha...

Please take note that the girl sat beside me is not my girl har... She's my buddy's wife la... Too bad we still lack of another 2 kaki... Arthur & Vera, we really miss you both here.

Yesterday I met up with Erina Law, we were having a long long chat this time. Thanks for the Nonya Sambal & Penang Hokkien Mee ingredients, I'll try to cook it when I back to Dubai. See if I got time to snap the pics I'll blog it out ok? Now days I cook everyday for dinner in Dubai, if I blog about cooking, my blog will become cooking blog lor... haha.

So sorry for others who I did not manage to meet up, my schedule was so tide and I don't have a good sleep at all during my KL trip.

So... In this 2 days time, I'll try to meet up all my high school old friends which still keep in touch. Everyone of them invited me to see their babies... Sigh... I just can show them my fat tummy now instead of own family which I don't have yet... Haha.

Miss You All!!!

Rainy Day

I'm in my hometown now!!! Yes, I ate lots of hawker foods these few days and my stomach quite upset most of the time... Hahaha. Anyway, according to my parents, Butterworth never rain for some time, and now it's finally rain during my trip back to Malaysia, they said I brought home rain, which is good sign for everyone.

I always love rainy days, too bad in Dubai I only got to see rain only once a year. This time, I really enjoy the rain although some roads were flooded by rain water. I love the sound of water which make my mind relax and also refreshing my mind.

This type of Naco window really gave me lots of memory, I used to view out from this window during rainy days.

Till now, the rain still non stop, but I'm enjoy the moment by having a cup of coffee, relaxing my mind before going back to 'sand jungle' which I can't see this kind of scene.

In Dubai Airport

Yes! I'm in Dubai International Airport now, but got a bad news, my flight was scheduled boarding on 6.40pm UAE time now have to postponed to 8.15pm. So I'll reach Malaysia later than earlier schedule.

I'll definitely miss my KL - Penang flight on 10.30am tomorrow, MAS crews told me they'll replace my connecting flight on 11.50am. I hope they keep their promise, if not I'll going to make complaint on in.

Since I got extra approximately 2 hours in Dubai International Airport, me and colleagues went to a pub in the airport. Yes, I'm posting this post in The Irish Village in Dubai International Airport.

My Wishes

Normally I don't have much wishes on myself, but after 6 months of restless working life, finally my holiday is coming soon, I'll back to Malaysia for holiday on this coming Friday for approximately 2 weeks. My 1st wish when I fly back to Penang is to eat my favorite Char Koay Teow!!! Yeeeeha!!!

Anyway, there is something that really in my wish list all the time, which is to own a Fender 'Black Strat' same as the guitarist from Pink Floyd - David Gilmour. I was surfing Fender's website and I found out they're going to release David Gilmour's signature series guitar soon! I was so excited to know the price, but somehow... the price is really too killing me.

Black Strat Price List

There are 2 versions of the Black Strat, Normal & Relic. The normal type is selling at USD $3,999.99!!! The price is really killing me after converted into RM. Meanwhile the Relic version is selling at USD $4,799.99!!! How do I get so much money to buy it? The price is really disapointed me compare to other artists' signature series.

The specification of the Black Strat is what I'm looking for which is better than a vintage series of Fender Stratocaster. I'm not a good guitar player but I do love guitar very much, I think I have to put my dream aside unless miracle is happening to me. How sad...

Anyway, I still can chill up a little bit since I manage to get some stock on my favorite drink... The KilKenny! Not Kill-Kenny ok? I'm not killing myself, but now really want to kill myself since the Black Strat is soooooooooooooo expensive!!!

KilKenny in can

Fender really kills me this Kenny now... I just wish to own this guitar for my entire life... arrrgghhh!!! Now I think I better get into reality life to a gf and settle down instead of dreaming on guitars too much.

Shifting Again

This few days I was busy with shifting my accommodation again, and this will be my 7th time shifting accommodation in a year that I working in Dubai.

My working company's management decided to shift some of staffs to another accommodation due to my previous accommodation have to give away to 'Manager' level to stay, so myself just as a little 'slave' have to move out from the villa.

Just to refresh back my 1st day landed in UAE, I was staying in Abu Dhabi and went to Dubai for work everyday. That time just few of key staffs for the project I'm working for, so the management asked us to stay in a high class hotel apartment in Dubai.

After a week, they shifted me back to Abu Dhabi, then I stayed back at the 1st villa I stayed. Next few days later, due to too many other staffs stayed in that villa, they shifted me to another villa, after few days I shifted to another room in the same villa, that became my 4th time shifting in a month.

About 2 months later I shifted to another villa in Dubai, I thought that will be my 'last resort' since the management said no more changes. Who knows after that the villa have to let all muslim staffs to stay, so we non-muslim have to move out. They found a better place for us, but we were suffered without permanent electricity supply, we were living with generator powered for basic use only, air conditioner still not complete to be used, luckily that time was in winter, so we still don't need it. 2 months later we only got the fully power supply and air conditioner was working well right on time before beginning of summer.

Now... I really tired when I heard I have to move again, I was so comfort with the previous place, but what to do? As I mentioned I'm just a little 'slave' here, so I have to move out together with other colleagues. I hope this will be my really 'last resort' to stay in this villa, it's really tired to clean up the new place, shifting my stuffs and rearrange it all over again. Let's see how is the arrangement next...

For your info, houses in UAE is called 'Villa', is not like villas we see in Malaysia which is luxury and complete with maids services, we have to survive like students staying together in a rental house.

Not Again!!!
