Follow Construction Drawings

Note: Received the pictures via my email. For those who in construction or engineering field will understand it well.

******************************************

Normally any revised drawings, the engineer or designer will cloud the part which need to be amended. This contractor really drilled a hole exactly from drawing...

The drilling hole so nice

Sometimes, the indication or marking on a drawing also confusing to those contractor who don't really understand on it...

Drawing

The contractor really wrote it at the staircase, the landing step also follow the drawing line... LOL

Sometimes you cannot blame the contractor, because some consultants are not good in design drawing which caused confusion to others.

I really salute to the contractor who followed the construction drawing 100%, this contractor should be awarded 'Best Contractor of The Year'...

R.I.P. Richard Wright

Another shocking news I received today regarding to one of the members of my all time favorite rock band - Pink Floyd, Richard Wright has died (15th Sept 2008) at the age of 65 after battling cancer.

I'm really sad when I knew it from my old friend who commented in my previous post, it's hard to believe it, I was really hope to see Pink Floyd reunion which is possible to happen soon, but now... my dream is over!!! The voice and keyboard of Pink Floyd just leaving us.

Richard Wright (Photo taken from David Gilmour Website)

The self-taught keyboardist and pianist who has created lots of fine art of music during his career with Pink Floyd. I always love to hear his touched of music especially 'Echoes', 'The Great Gig in The Sky', 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond', 'Us and Them', and many more.

Rick is joining another co-founder of Pink Floyd, Syd Barrett who passed away 2 years ago. It's a great lost for the music industry, another legendary musician has just left the musical world. I believe all Pink Floyd fans are sad to hear about it.

I don't know how to express my sadness now, I'll always remember his touched of music. Below are my tribute to Richard Write with his fine touch of keyboard...

World Largest Horse Racing Course

I'm sure everyone of you must always think which project I'm involve with in Dubai, this post will be my first ever post to reveal the project I'm working with.

Introduction:

This project is located in Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The project named as Meydan Race Course and the client is Meydan LLC.

I think you all will not believe how can an Islamic country have such a huge horse racing course, let me tell you all, horse racing is the most prestige sport in UAE, they held the Horse Racing World Cup every year. It's not mean for gambling like horse racing in other countries.

Meydan Race Course

Total Development Area: 76 million square feet
Race Track: Dirt & Turf
Attendance: Approximately 60,000
Grandstand Building Length: 1km
Car Park Wing Span: 1.3km
Car Park Spaces: 10,000 spaces

This race course is a fast track project, we are now working all out to meet the completion target. This race course is targeted to open for the 2010 Dubai World Cup.

The building consists of World Class Hotel, Goldophine Gallery - Horse Museum and Imax Theater, World Class Grandstand and Boathouse. For boathouse it will have a man made canal connect to Dubai Creek to allow boats to enter to the race course.

Here are some pictures I took by using my new toy LUMIX DMC-FZ28...

Currently, this will be the world largest horse racing course. As we know, Dubai buildings always want to be world class such as world tallest, largest, longest, special and so on... Recently they announced going to build the first ever rotating building in the world. All these man made features will be the most challenging tasks in this engineering world.

Changes

There are some changes happened on myself...

First of all, I'd changed my previous camera to another similar type but with upgraded version. I bought it during my holiday trip in Malaysia, according to my regular camera shop, they said so far only 3 countries which selling cheapest cameras, United State, Hong Kong and Malaysia. I was so shock when heard about it, but after I did some surveys, I really believe about it. UAE used to be tax free country and everybody said all electronic goods are cheaper than Malaysia, but for cameras, I found out Malaysia still cheaper than UAE but it depends on which shop you are going in Malaysia.

Now... I changed my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 to DMC-FZ28. The reason I changed to the latest model because of some extra features that I'd waiting for. First the lense with ED elements which can provide better image quality. It also come with video mode in HD format, so now I can take video in HD format. Besides that, it also come with many special features, now I can shift my focus points as I like, the wide angle lense also improved to 27mm. Suprisingly, the price of DMC-FZ28 is much cheaper than DMC-FZ18!!!

My New Toy, DMC-FZ28

Anyway, the most important is the Leica lense, I got no doubt with Leica which I can say the best lense ever. Now still not the best time for photo shooting, I'm plan to have some photo shooting end of this month which the weather will be not so hot anymore. So, stay tuned for lots of photo soon ya!

My secondary change here is my blog links, I realised many of the links at my side bar are getting passive or out of the world. I have to delete some of the links, I have to say sorry to those links has been deleted by me. Now I have to control my blog links, I will not simply add the link unless you are regular here or with proper manners, I don't like those just come in and just wanted me to visit back their blog, now I really don't have time on blog hopping anymore.

I hope you all can understand my decision, it's up to you to say I'm cold blooded la, unfriendly la, LCLY la, action la, cilaka la... but I really headache to see so much blog links which is inactive in blogging world in my side bar.

Please do not simply ask me to add your blog link here, I'll add if someone is my real friend, trustworthy blogger or blogs that I love to read. I'm so sorry for the inconveniences.

I Need Changes!!!
