Ford Driving Skills For Life

Last Saturday morning (17 Dec 2011) I participated the first ever Ford Driving Skills For Life in Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS). The Saturday morning slot was specially allocated to Ford Fiesta Fan Club Malaysia (FFC) members.

A big thank to Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC) for organising this meaningful event to all Ford owners. In this programme, we'd learn about theories and hands-on exercises with our own cars. There were four exercises in this defensive driving course:
  1. Seating and Steering Demonstration
  2. Slalom Drills
  3. Braking Technique
  4. Skid Control
For Skid Control exercise, SDAC has prepared 2 different Ford Fiesta (1.4 LX & 1.6S) for us, that mean we don't need to risk our own tyres, how good was that! The 1.4 LX version is without ESP (Electronic Stability Programme) and 1.6S version is come with ESP.

Skid control exercise

This was the most excited exercise, majority of us first time experienced with skid control, all of us still feel not enough to skid with the 1.4 LX without ESP.

Overall we all were excited and enjoying the programme, we can't wait for the next Level 2 driving skills programme in future.

Once again, thank you very much SDAC!
