Band Of The Week - The Doobie Brothers

I'm so lucky that I can get online tonight, so I don't want to waste so much time and try to blog Band of The Week that I've been missing for so many weeks due to my internet connection problem. This weekend my Band of The Week goes to The Doobie Brothers.

The Doobie Brothers

To me, this band's musics are more to like happy tune, very relax and melodic. Let's enjoy some of my favorite tunes from The Doobie Brothers. First will be one of the most popular classic rock tune on radio, Listen To The Music. Next will be Long Train Running, this song is very nice while I'm driving. Lastly will be China Grove, one of my all time favorite tune.

About The Doobie Brothers

The Doobie Brothers are an American rock band formed in 1969 by Tom Johnston (guitarist, singer and songwriter) and John Hartman (drummer). Then Dave Shogren (bassist) and Patrick Simmons (guitarist) joined the band in 1070.

This band has been changed many of their musicians line up, not only that, The Doobie Brothers also hibernate for some years, reuniting in different configuration for annual Christmas season performances for the patients and staff at the Stanford Children's Hospital.

The Doobie Brothers have been eligible for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since 1996 but have yet to be nominated.

Listen To The Music is also my favourite. Doobie Brothers reminds me of Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Amazing that they have not been nominated. I saw 'em live in 1977. Really good time music.
