Note: This post is to clarify some facts from my previous post...
Many of you thought that I working in Dubai is under contract for 2 years, actually I'm not under contract, I'm permanent staffs which seconded from HQ (Malaysia) to Dubai (UAE) branch. The company will not send me back if they are getting more projects here.
I join this company because one of the head is my friend wanted me to join the company, he was the person who helped me a lot since I started living in KL, I owe him a lot and if I leave he'll disappointed of me. He is putting lots of hope on me to help him and the company. I've told him my problems here and he'd tried his best to help me out of it, too bad he can't do much with it, it's out of his control anyway.
I'm not a person simply change jobs, I always try my best stay loyal to my work as well to company. I started my career with a consultant firm, I left the company to join government because I was doing my part time studying, so I got more time to further my study. Then there were so much politic issues in government sectors and at the same time my friend (as mentioned above) was persuading me to join the company that I'm working with now.
Just like what you all commented, look at the bright side, try to be happy, I've tried it since the first day I work in Dubai, and every human got their own limit. Now I just worry how much left my limits. If I don't need to carry my family's burdens, I'll don't care about it, but now what I can do is just carry on until to my limits. Let's see what will going to happen on me in future.
Life's Like Rock n Roll...

Here, have a look and see if any of it applies to you..

Look at it this way, your project has just started. Prices of raw materials have sky-rocketed since they first tendered their proposal. Your company may be being extremely prudent at this early stage to ensure they do not lose money. Who knows, a couple of years into the project, things may look up and they may find that they are not as financially-strapped as they initially thought. Things may improve then and staff may start to get better benefits. And you as pioneer staff may get better deals than those whom they bring in later as workload increases.
Work is always like this. You have to sow your seeds before you can reap the harvest. You just started your work here. Show your friend and your boss that you are an exemplary staff and it is their loss if they don't appreciate you and you leave for greener pastures.
I dunno what to say
I only can say ... I won't last long

i know for a fact you are not one that look at things in rose coloured glass but when you can't change the situation perhaps you could just turn it around and make it to your benefit instead.

Just happened to reach here by ‘googling’ around. I can really feel your pain over there.
A few years back, I was seconded to Sudan for a project to construct an oil processing plant. It is the darkest period of my life so far.
Well, take good care of yourself, complete your work, and return to Malaysia for good.
All the best!

come on guy.Just DO It. Life is always challenging. After this Difficult time, u will b rewarded or u r moulded into another tough guy. Dun look back, see ahead n work harder for yo future, man.
It's always difficult when you start to lose the passion to work, for one reason or another. Here's where you have to really consider the benefits of whatever you're doing ... is it really worth all your effort?
I have never considered it a virtue to be loyal to a company - if it suits their purpose, the company will ask you to leave - so, don't ever work because you want to be loyal.
And if you stay on because you have a good boss, or because you don't want to disappoint someone, then make sure they don't disappoint you as well.
I've always consider work to be a two way street - you commit a lot to it, but make sure it rewards you amply as well.
Seriously, I've learnt the hard way that company will only be nice to you if you don't let them take advantage of you !
If u stop halfway, u have to restart and rebuild all your efforts again. It's another tough decision to take! My advice is, be strong for the moment and take careful steps as you go along.
BTW, i read from ur previous comments that middle easterners are 'uncivilised' though they're rich. mind to elaborate? i'm curious.
Dear all,
Thanks for all the comments, advices, suggestions. No matter how I'll be patience right now and I don't promise you all that I'll stay strong, I got my limit, I'm a human too. No matter how say is easy, if you in my situation I think you'll understand more.
Anyway... I won't do any stupid, I'll just seek for better ways to go.
Thank you all.
