Special Home Made Foods

Let's forget about my tragedy about transfer back to Malaysia, I really numb on it and I was just simply rant in my previous posts to release my 'hot air' from my body.

Just stay tune and wait for my 'LAST SECOND' decision from the management. Worst come to worst I got my own way, and now I'm cool on it.

Last weekend my housemates decided to do a special dinner, we just spent from our extra dairy food collection fund to have this special Malaysian style home cook foods. It's been long long time I never cook since we have our full-time chef for all staffs. At least we can have Malaysian style foods everyday, normally he will cook Nasi Lemak every Thursday and many will come like 'hungry ghost' to eat it.

Alright, let's look at what special Malaysian style food we had last weekend...

Delicious Vegetable

Err... Is this call Bird?

Big Lala

Big Shrimps

What a bowl of Crabs!

Big Fish

That was the best meal so far since I return to Abu Dhabi from my home vacation... Right now after uploaded all the pics, I'm getting hungry already... Arrghhh!!!

Another Simple Cooking

I think I addicted with cooking already since I started to cook for others when staying in Dubai. To live in Dubai, you have to share with others for the foods, because this way you can save a lot money for foods.

Few days back I tried to cook one of my favorite food fried rice, all my colleagues not sure how to cook so I just whack only then the end result only to decide after eat it.

So I just cooked some garlic, prawns, onions and potato in the beginning stage, then fried some chickens. The rice I fried with tomato sauce and a little bit of oyster sauce.

My simple ingredients

Fried some chicken

The results... I did it again! Even tough it's simple but everyone were so enjoying the fried rice and no balance at all in the end. One of my colleague said can give me 80%, but what I think is I still got plenty of room to improve on it.

Final result...

At the same time, I also did some experiment to mix Laban and orange juice together, the result... taste like Vitagen's orange flavor! That's another healthy drink instead of alcohol I used to drink so often in the past... hahaha.

Kenny Ng Can Cook!!!

Since I stay in Dubai for work, I've learned so many things to be a survivor here. All the while I just watch my mum and others how they cook but I never did it myself.

Yesterday (Friday) after half day work, I tried to cook a simple dish to share with my colleagues, the others cooked some other dishes too. Surprisingly, everyone said the taste is excellent and the dish I contributed finish in just few minutes time. I was so proud of myself... :P

My simple cooking

Its a mixture of bake beans, potato, carrot, sausage, onion and tomato. I started with fried the potato then put in sausage. After that onion and carrot put together to cook with potato, finally the bake beans and tomato to mix in for the final stage, I also add some chili sauce and salt for better taste. I forgot to add some eggs into it, anyway... it taste good! (so thick skin, self-praise pula... Wakakakaka)

Short Lunch Break at Dragon Mart

Last week during lunch hour, my colleague brought us to a Chinese restaurant in Dragon Mart at International City, Dubai.

I just ordered a dry fried noodle which cost me Dhs 22 (RM 22++), the taste was ok compare to last time I had in Chinese Village Restaurant. Anyway, in Dubai all the portion of foods are very big, to me I can split out into 2 meals for that big portion.

The restaurant we went in Dragon Mart is SunTour Restaurant, too bad this restaurant only sell 'Halal' foods.

The one and only restaurant

Dry fried noodle... so big portion

I couldn't manage to snap pictures outside the mall to show how it looks like, we were so rushing and I just managed to snap some pictures inside the main entrance.

From main entrance

View to main entrance

The mall length is about 1km long, I still got no time to walk the whole mall to see what interesting in this mall.

Another Chinese Foods in Dubai

Yesterday (Friday), we just work half day because it's weekend in UAE, no body work on that day except us. Since only half day work, me and my colleagues decided to do half day short trip to discover Dubai.

In the morning, as usual we moved from Abu Dhabi to Dubai for work, the weather condition was so foggy, the visible distance about 50m only.

The foggy scene

After work which was lunch hour, we went to Dubai City Center to hunt for foods. As Ramadan month now, no restaurants are open during day time until evening, furthermore it was Friday and most of the shops were close.

We never gave up keep searching for foods, finally we found a Chinese restaurant was open for business! Then we had our lunch in this Chinese Village Restaurant.

Chinese Village Restaurant

When we opened the menu, oh no! The foods are so expensive, I just ordered Hakka Noodle which also cost me Dhs 24. The design of this restaurant is so romantic and I don't really feel like a Chinese restaurant. The taste is not as I expected, anyway, it's better than none since all restaurants were closed.

After lunch we went for shopping in the city, after that we went to Jumeirah Beach to see the beautiful scene there. Stay tuned for more pictures in my coming post yah! Kekeke...

Arabian Foods in UAE

First of all, I would like to thank Erina Law very very much for giving 'I LOVE YOUR BLOG!' award to me. I'm really touched and I would like to say I LOVE YOUR BLOG and all other blogs too!!!

*********************************************

Last weekend (Friday) in UAE, Kat and family invited me to have dinner together in Abu Dhabi. By using Google Earth image I send to them, they manage to find my living villa in Khalifa City at Abu Dhabi.

Then we planned to go Al Raha Beach Mall for dinner, when we reach there, the mall seems very empty, only few stores were open as the mall still new. So we went to somewhere in between Khalifa City and Abu Dhabi town, and we managed to find a Lebanese restaurant there. The restaurant name is Al Fawar Restaurant & Cafeteria.

The foods are very special to me as I never taste it before, overall the foods are quite nice!

The appetizer taste a bit weird to me, but still nice to eat it. The lamb kebab really nice to eat, the other one I forgot the name, the taste also special and nice.

I forgot name of this food again as I too enjoying with it... I also forgot to bring back their booklet for the food menu. Please slap me for my careless... Wakakakaka
